Drupal Themer
The Drupal Themer is responsible for design and theme implementation of client web sites and web tools. This position's secondary responsibilities include assisting with client support issues.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate flat design files into standards compliant HTML/CSS Drupal themes
- Perform cross browser compatibility testing and apply browser specific fixes
- Provide advice and consultation to the Advomatic team and our clients
- Design site elements and build original designs in collaboration with clients as required
- Assist the sales team in evaluating and providing time estimates for potential projects
- Manage tasks within budget and schedule constraints Maintain a good relationship with open-source communities that Advomatic interacts with
- Assist with maintenance and design of Advomatic websites
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
- 4 years experience with web design and layout, including XHTML and CSS
- 2 years experience developing Drupal themes and working with the Drupal CMS
- 1 years experience working with Jquery and AJAX technologies
- Proven experience converting graphical composites into valid CSS/XHTML
- Familiarity with PHP and underlying core Drupal architecture
- Self-starter with strong self-management skills: goal & results oriented
- Experienced and comfortable working with virtual teams
- Experience with collaborative development tools such as CVS or Subversion
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Solid communication skills and strong customer service orientation
- Preference for candidates who have Drupal PHP skills
- Preference for candidates who have previously worked on web sites for progressive advocacy organizations or community websites

Drupal Developer
The Drupal Developer is responsible for feature development and technical build-out of client web sites and web tools. This position's secondary responsibilities include assisting with client support issues.
- Design and develop new functionality for client sites, including database, PHP code, and Drupal module design
- Provide technical advice to the Advomatic team and our clients
- Provide time estimates for potential projects and tasks
- Evaluating and profiling Drupal deployments to locate performance bottlenecks and fix them
- Manage tasks within budget and schedule constraints
- Maintain a good relationship with open-source communities that Advomatic interacts with
- Assist with maintenance and new feature development of Advomatic websites
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
- 3 years experience in web programming, including PHP and MySQL
- 2 years experience developing websites with Drupal Experience with collaborative development tools such as CVS or Subversion
- Comfortable on a Linux command line and working with common web technologies (Apache, MySQL)
- Self-starter with strong self-management skills: goal & results oriented
- Experienced and comfortable working with virtual teams
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Solid communication skills and strong customer service orientation

Strategist
The Strategist works directly with the Partners and the Strategy team to assist with sales and marketing of development, design and consulting services. This position includes overall sales strategizing – seeking new markets and monitoring existing relationships. This position is also responsible for management of consulting projects, both for communications strategy and site planning. The Strategist works closely with the Director of Development to assist with capacity planning. For communications strategy projects, the Strategist actively collaborates with others on the Strategy team.
- Finding sales leads through a variety of sources including open-source communities, RFP listing sites and email listservs, responding to all incoming, unsolicited sales leads.
- Communication with potential clients by email, phone and in-person meetings.
- Writing formal sales proposals for Drupal projects, including: requesting hourly estimates, or generating estimates when necessary, calculating budget estimates, and ongoing assessment and improvement of proposal documents, working closely with and involving internal technical team with sales opportunities.
- Acting as main client contact and project lead for assigned site planning projects.
- Completing deliverables for information architecture projects including, but not limited to: User Research & Discovery, Site Maps, Wireframes, Technical Specifications Documentation
- Assist with ongoing projects and existing online strategy contracts as requested.
- Developing and keep current an in-depth knowledge of non-profit market.
- Remain current on emerging technologies and useful tools and ideas for our clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited 4-year university or equivalent work experience
- Must live in the NYC area or be willing to relocate. Remote candidates will not be considered.
- Understanding of internet technology, web development processes, and information architecture.
- Two plus years of proven sales performance, with consistent record of closing bids, sales to non-profit organizations is plus.
- Sales of and familiarity with Drupal CMS system experience is desired.
- Previous software selling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic wireframing and user interface design a plus.
- Strong overall communications skills with the ability to make clear, compelling sales presentations.
