The 2004 Democratic Presidential primaries were a challenge for all involved. Dean For America needed a web presence and volunteer management system in Iowa to organize volunteers from out of state. The system had two functions. First, registering the volunteers and keeping track of their various needs and preferences before staying in Iowa. Secondly, for the Dean staff to keep track and organize volunteers on the ground. The system kept track of how many people were required at each location in the state, and gave organizers the ability to give and take as they saw fit. Although the the "Perfect Storm" as it was called wasn't able to bring the campaign victory in Iowa, all their volunteers needs were met thanks to our system.
