For the second year, Advomatic is proud to partner with the YearlyKos Convention. We helped the Kos volunteers customize their site to organize and promote the national convention, and we also host the website on our custom shared cluster servers. Advomatic will again be a sponsor for this self-funded and vital piece of progressive infrastructure.
This gathering of the Netroots community, the millions of Americans dedicated to grassroots political action through the use of the Internet and blogs as primary tools, is more than a meetup. Last year, approximately 1200 conventioneers, speakers, panelists and members of the media attended from June 8-11, and discussed everything from balancing family life, political discourse and a career to education in the United States, to the future of energy resources and energy policy, and much more.
This years YKos will feature many more interesting panels, as well as Presidential Candidates, and of course there will be plenty of old-media types, investigating their own supplantation by the rise of Citizen Journalists.
It's entirely fitting that YearlyKos chose open source Drupal software and Advomatic for their site.
