The Fresno Metropolitan Museum

The Fresno Metropolitan Museum is currently undergoing a major expansion and renovation. They realized that while most of the museum's facilities are closed the website is one of the few ways to stay connected with the community. The old site was static, built with frames and flash navigation. In short, it was difficult to update and search engines could not find it.

Advomatic developed and hosts the new and improved fresnomet.org. Museum staff now has the ability to maintain and update the site on their own. The new site boasts e-commerce integration for membership sales and inventory tracking for ticket sales. Exhibition and Collection pages have custom image gallery integration, where the 'Lightbox' provides an AJAX alternative for viewing full-sized images.

Integration of department blogs and broadcast emails allow the museum to connect with the local community on a regular basis. Finally, the search engines rankings have improved so much the site now ranks in the top 10 hits for Metropolitan Museum, and leads all others for local searches.
