The key to our VPS service is the "Virtual" - this means that we can dynamically allocate resources to your machine with a simple restart. Need additional RAM for a heavy traffic month? No problem. Want some additional CPU power to increase the processing muscle? You got it!
Dedicated Virtual Private Servers
A Dedicated VPS is a great solution for a dynamic website that is serving any reasonable amount of traffic. They all come with *dedicated* CPU and RAM resources, which gives you more overall power than the Shared VPS line, but also reduces the possibility of your performance being impacted by "noisy neighbors" - other clients on the same shared resources as you using up all the power!

Shared Virtual Private Servers
The Shared VPS line is a good solution for new or low traffic websites, or for smaller, dedicated applications that require a smaller amount of resources. These come with dedicated RAM, and CPU "Slices". CPU Slices are essentially the number of CPU Cores your Shared VPS is allowed to access at any given time. If you have 2 Slices, then your VPS will be able to use up to 2 CPU Cores at once. We make every effort to ensure that everyone is fat and happy on our shared line - we limit the total number of clients on each CPU Core, but you may still occasionally experience slow-downs if someone is using the same CPU as you and maxes it out with an intensive process or traffic spike.
