Our managed hosting services include all system administration, technical support, and troubleshooting of any problems with your system. We are your sysadmin, your webmaster, your technical support.

We only work with clients whose sites we have complete knowledge of. This means that no matter what happens, from a runaway script to an unclosed html tag, we will fix it. We do not believe anyone else provides this level of service at this price. We focus on providing an exceptional level of service, security, and reliability to our hosting clients. We provide hosting services with our own servers, as well as manage client-owned servers. There is a reason you will not find the chart that outlines how many databases, email addresses, or bytes of disk space each package provides. We provide what you need to be successful, thats our pledge to you.
Stability
We guarantee 100% network availability through our co-location providers at Voxel.net in New York City and Market Post Tower in San Jose, CA. We use load-balanced clusters of SUSe and Debian linux servers to provide a high level of reliability and load capacity. Freedom
We only use open source software products in our hosting architecture. This means that you will never have to worry about proprietary technology locking you in to a single provider. This common business model is popular and, we believe, harmful in the end. Your website and your data are yours, you should always have the freedom to decide how and where it is hosted. Advomatic believes in giving our clients as much freedom as they want to manage, create, and explore the process of building thier online presence.
Levels of Service
We provide three types of hosting services:
Managed Hosting
Managed hosting is the foundation of our hosting service. All aspects of hosting and maintaining a website are covered under our plans.
- Technical Support:
- We are on call 24/7 to provide technical support and will fix whatever issue your site has regardless of source or cause. Most other managed hosting arrangements include certain types of system administration or assistance in the datacenter. Sometimes they'll ping your box, or reboot and not much else. Often these plans are mostly useless when a real problem arises. And even when they are more comprehensive the technician assigned to your problem may know nothing about your site's configuration and take a long time, or even make things worse.
We provide a higher level of support which includes having an intimate knowledge of your organization, your site, and how exactly it is set up. This is the sort of thing you would ordinarily only get with a full time webmaster or system administrator. For the low cost of a monthly hosting fee you gain access to a powerful and knowledgable team of experts all working to ensure your success. - Maintenance:
- System administration, data backup, security audits, software updates, log rotations. All of the day-to-day maintenance tasks that are necessary to keep a server system running at peak performance are taken care of for you. We always have the most up-to-date security patches to make sure your data is safe. Backups are not just run automatically, but verified by an actual human.
Regular maintenance like this makes sure everything runs smooth, but can also help to spot potential problems before they become critical. Just like a doctor's regular checkup, the only way to know if something is wrong before it becomes a problem is to regularly get a look at what is going on behind the scene. - Resources:
- We do not charge for individual resources like email addresses, number of databases, or what type of sitestats you have.
The only resource that you will ever be charged 'extra' for is bandwidth. We include 100GB (in+out) of bandwidth monthly for each of our managed hosting clients. If you have a site which requires more, we will negotiate the best price from our provider for you and include that with your monthly fee. Small, infrequent overages are generally not charged to you, and even then you will recieve advance notification.
We provide what you need to succeed, and this means working with you to manage your online growth. Client-owned Server Management
Do you already own your own hardware and just want to reduce the overhead of managing it? Do you want to invest in your own hardware to allow more flexibility with your internet presence architecture? We can help you manage your technology investment.
Client-owned Server Management clients have all the same benefits of our standard Managed Hosting clients, but they own thier own hardware and have some more flexibility in how thier site is configured. We provide a 1U rackspace alongside our other servers, the same rock-solid network connection, and technical expertise to help keep your systems running securely and efficiently. Client-owned hosting clients have a base 200GB monthly bandwidth allotment.

Virtual Hosting
For clients who do not need the full support of a managed hosting account, but still want access to Advomatic's technical expertise in case of emergencies.
Virtual Hosting clients are hosted on a shared server with DirectAdmin to manage thier services like email, backups and ftp accounts. This includes 100 email accounts, 100 mysql databases, 1gig of hard drive space, and 25GB of bandwidth a month. Other resource allotments are available on request.
For non-Advomatic clients, we charge $150/hr for emergency system administration and troubleshooting services. For our virtual hosting clients, if they need assistance with managing their site the rate is $75/hr. Virtual Hosting customers still recieve a certain level of technical support for free, which includes network connectivity, the server itself, and certain software problems. What is not included is higher level website configuration problems, troubleshooting scripts or custom work done by clients, or problems administrating the site.
