Elana Levin is Advomatic’s Director of Strategy and Client Relations. Elana brings to this new position her years of experience helping traditionally offline organizations develop their online strategy.
Elana comes to Advomatic from the labor movement where she served as Communications Director for the Writers Guild of America, East, and Assistant Director of Communications building New Media programs at Workers United/SEIU and UNITE HERE. Previously, Elana ran communications for the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, working with Advomatic on TheMiddleClass.org. Having hired Advomatic twice, she decided she should probably just join the team.
A former community organizer and campaign worker herself, Elana also serves as Chair of Organizing 2.0--- a group that leads workshops on online organizing, communications and strategy for grassroots organizers. She is one of the creators of OccupyTheBoardroom.org which has enabled thousands of members of the 99% to send their stories of economic hardship to financial industry CEOs. She serves on the Board of Workplace Fairness.
She blogs about saving the world at Daily Kos, she blogs about saving the comicbook industry at GraphicPolicy.com and tweets about both at twitter.com/Elana_Brooklyn
