Aaron Welch

Partner/COO & Co-Founder

Aaron's background is in live performance and the arts, holding a BFA in Performance Production from Cornish College of the Arts, in Seattle, WA. He began his career as a sound designer, production engineer and systems control designer.

After freelancing for several years, Aaron became the Audio Visual Coordinator at the Museum of Glass: International Center for Contemporary Art. There, he coordinated the specification, build-out and installation of all the A/V components of the new multi-million dollar facility, which includes an amphitheater, movie theater, and full pre/post-production video production facilities. Aaron also oversaw the operations of all of the museum's online projects, one of which he demonstrated at the 2003 Museums and the Web Conference.

In 2003, he began as a volunteer web developer for Howard Dean's presidential campaign, and soon after was hired as a web developer for Dean for America's Iowa Office. Shortly after his work on the Dean campaign ended, he went on to found Advomatic with Adam Mordecai.

Aaron has contributed to a number of Drupal modules, and even submitted a few patches for the core system. Aaron's specialty is integrating external applications with Drupal, having done so with many broadcast email and CRM systems for a wide variety of clients.

In late 2007, Aaron took a brief leave of absence to work as the Director of Internet Technology for Senator Chris Dodd's Presidential Campaign.

At Advomatic, Aaron spends most of his time developing and running the business side of things. Aaron oversees Advomatic's specialized hosting platform, which focuses on highly available, highly scalable clustered Drupal hosting. He also manages the development and operation of the Advomatic Click-to-Call service.

In his spare time he scuba dives and eats fire.
