What We Do
Advomatic is a full service web technology firm. We specialize in Strategy Consulting, Website Development, and Hosting. Our clients are mostly progressive non-profit advocacy organizations, but we also do work for a variety of private, commercial and government organizations. We work with our clients in a variety of ways - sometimes we are the only firm involved, other times we work with a variety of other firms and consultants who fulfill various areas of a project. We pride ourselves on being pragmatic and providing no-nonsense advice and solutions. We do not have employees with fancy, web 2.0 titles like "User Experience Satisfaction Orienteer", we do not have a glowing pod chair to sit in when you come to our offices. What we do have is a fun, professional team of dedicated developers, strategists and designers who love what they do: helping our clients be successful online.
In its first year, Advomatic built websites for many advocacy organizations including General Wesley Clark's WesPAC, Joe Trippi, Change for America and Talking Points Memo's TPM Café. Today, Advomatic does much more than build powerful websites on the Drupal content management system. Our service offerings now include every step in the web development process from concept to launch, including information architecture, design, strategy, and even hosting. Our work has been commended by the New York Times, TechPresident, DailyKos, Mother Jones and The Huffington Post.
Advomatic provides a variety of hosted services as well. Advomatic's latest cutting-edge tool is Click-to-Call, used by many organizations to manage and monitor campaigns to call Congress.
Who We Are
Advomatic is a New York State LLC founded by Partners Aaron Welch and Adam Mordecai. The partners founded Advomatic in 2004 after working together on the web team of Dean for America, Governor Howard Dean's campaign for President. Together, they helped to develop a web-based volunteer management system known as DeanSpace (and later CivicSpace), and then began using Drupal and CiviCRM. Since then, Advomatic has been a pioneer of open source technology development for campaigns, advocacy organizations and the progressive movement.
